Born in Zimbabwe, raised in England in the vibrant city of Newcastle Upon Tyne. Dzikamai (Dzed) discovered his love for dance at 14, rooted in hip hop and street styles, and developed a passion for theatre through school productions during high school. Around this time, he experienced the Music outreach workshops as a student, an experience that profoundly shifted the trajectory of his life. In that space of music and connection, he felt seen, empowered, and inspired , and realised he wanted to create that same feeling for others.
While earning a BA in Marketing Management, he continued performing, joining the university dance team and choreographing and leading them to first-place finishes across every competition season they entered.
After graduating, Dzed pursued performance professionally, training in California before completing three international tours as a cast member across Europe, Japan, America, the UK, and Ireland. He later earned a Master’s degree in Dance Performance, further refining his artistry.
He was honoured to serve as the first Stage Manager for Heart Global’s live in-person music outreach tour, launching in Japan, and went on to complete five additional tours in that role. He later joined the creative team and now serves as a Guest Director. Currently, he performs as a MainStage cast member with Disney Cruise Line.
Dzed is passionate about inspiring others to chase their dreams boldly, because he is living proof of what can happen when a young person believes in theirs.
